I have done an audio reading before, and kept intending to do more and just never got around to it.

Given I just wrote about reading this one as a bedtime story, I thought I would record it (see how that works? I am triple-dipping on that post!! This is what pure laziness looks like, people!).

If you like it and want to hear more, then encourage me with flattery and champagne (okay, fine, just flattery then!).

Last time I posted a reading, one of my audio-wizard readers cleaned up the file to improve the quality, so if you have the mad skillz, I’ll happily accept improvements!

In this post, I fulfilled a couple of other reader requests from my ‘Dommes don’t speak, they raawwwrr‘ post who wanted to hear me telling them what to do, all stern-like.

This was surprisingly difficult.

With the first one, to make it interesting, I had to kind of set up the entire scenario. In real life, I’d be much more likely just to go, “Go and do the chores, boy” and expect him to get up off his arse and go do it.

With the second, I was given a script that doesn’t at all reflect how I would try to motivate someone.

Still, it was much fun and strangeness to give it a go, so thank you for the requests!

This is another request from my ‘Dommes don’t speak, they rawwwr’ post by Peroxide, who doesn’t even really like poetry, but requested that I read Sonnet XI, by Pablo Neruda, which I have posted previously.

I love quite a few of Neruda’s poems; his passion and beautiful turn of phrase is compelling.

I had another go at the recording I tried to make for my ‘gym bunny update’ post.

I actually invited my twitter peeps to breathe and pant and swear with me while I was doing it, so I was talking to them in the recording. Normally, I don’t talk while I am killing myself with uber cardio. Well, okay, I might do an ‘oh my god!’ or a ‘fuck’, but I don’t generally encourage people, or myself.

But this time, I am all about the encouragement!!!

So here it is, the high point of my 20 minutes on the bike:

NaNo snippet: Audio

I know most of you probably didn’t notice that I still had one more request to fulfil from my ‘Dommes don’t speak, they rawwwr’ post way back in June.

I was asked for a snippet from my NaNo writing from last year. A cheeky request! I recorded this soon after the request, then stalled on posting it because I wanted to find a snippet I liked better. Then trawling through 50k words to find something I liked better seemed like too much work. So I stalled some more.

But here it is, a piece that describes the shoes shown in the picture. I used descriptions of my shoes at the beginning of chapters: it helped me to get into the mood for writing, and the idea of describing the shoes that were relevant to each plot point provided a common thread for me to weave through the story. Also, shoes!!!

Baby: Audio

This is what I sound like when I am slightly drunk, when I am writing and suddenly typing seems like too much trouble so I decide on audio instead, when I am languid and lounging on the couch, a slight slurring, almost in too much stupor to force the words past my lips…

I suspect this is similar to how I sound after sex.

I like the pet name ‘baby’.

It’s not because I infantalise my submissive.

It’s because to me it communicates sex and caring and sweetness, all of those.

I was going to write about this, but then I thought that audio was much more appropriate.

Because pet names have more power when they are spoken.

This is an experiment in podcasting *smile*.

The Domme Chronicles podcast is available on iTunes and while some of my old audio clips have made it into the podcast, this is the first brand new one. There will be at least one more and then I will see how I feel about it.
